O wyścigu
The Mansfield 10K is a 10-kilometer race on closed roads within Mansfield town centre. It begins on West Gate at 9:00 AM and concludes in the Market Place. The course consists of two laps through the town and adjacent streets. Over 700 participants are anticipated, with an estimated 4,500 spectators expected to attend. RunThrough coordinates the event in collaboration with Mansfield District Council, and the road closures ensure a traffic-free running environment on central Mansfield streets for the morning.
The course navigates streets such as Clumber Street, Leeming Street, Church Street, St Peter’s Way, Chesterfield Road South, Westfield Lane, Ladybrook Lane, Quaker Way, Walkden Street, and Stockwell Gate before looping back to the town centre finish. Distance markers are placed at each kilometer. Entry includes chip timing, complimentary race photographs, post-race refreshments, and a themed finisher's medal. A 1K junior race, starting later from Market Place, follows a route through West Gate, Clumber Street, and Leeming Street, allowing families to participate in multiple events. The event also generates funds for John Eastwood Hospice.
