O wyścigu
Rockin’ Bear is a trail running race in Myoko Kogen, starting and finishing at Ikoinodaira Ski Resort. The name translates to “rocking bear,” chosen to evoke strength, kindness, speed on trails, and the enjoyment of running through Myoko’s natural environment. It is designed for a wide range of runners: beginners can participate without feeling out of place, while faster runners have a course where they can compete intensely.
The long course covers 48 km with approximately 1,700 m of total elevation gain, and a 17 km middle-distance option offers newer trail runners a shorter route. Same-day check-in, luggage storage, and shuttle buses from Myoko Kogen Station reduce the planning required, though many participants also arrive by car. The organizers refer to the weekend as a mountain-running banquet, and the race maintains that social atmosphere with an after-party.
