TOKYO ROKUTAI FES is a two-day running festival held at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo, organized by the Tokyo Marathon Foundation. The main event is a 6-hour team relay on a 1 km loop, challenging teams to complete as many laps as possible. The program also features a women-only 5K, a flat 10K, a WA-certified road mile, and a team relay covering the half marathon distance. The event focuses on running with friends and family rather than a single competitive race format.
Most races utilize short lap courses, allowing spectators frequent views of runners and enabling teams to swap participants within a compact stadium environment. The TOKYO WOMEN'S RUN 5K is designed for beginners and includes post-run Pilates. The TOKYO 1MILE, Japan's first WA-certified mile road race, welcomes participants from young children to competitive runners, with family divisions accommodating running strollers and wheelchairs. Relay teams in the half marathon and 6-hour events are entered into drawings for spots in future Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon or Tokyo Marathon events.
