The Savannah River Marathon crosses the South Carolina-Georgia border on a small autumn race day based in North Augusta and Augusta. It provides a full marathon, half marathon, and 10K, with staggered morning starts and a total field limited to approximately 225 runners across all distances. The marathon begins and ends at the Lake Olmstead entrance to the Augusta Canal Trail, then proceeds out and back alongside the Savannah River. The course follows the North Augusta Greeneway, River Levee Trail, and Augusta Canal Trail, combining rolling hills, riverfront sections, and tree-lined paths. Augusta Run Club organizes the event, and the seven-hour finish limit accommodates a wide range of runners without becoming a large city marathon.

The Aiken Trailblazer Halloween races are Halloween-themed trail runs held at Stable View, a 1,000-acre equestrian facility in Aiken. The race distances offered include a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and a Kids Fun Run. The courses follow Stable View's trails, featuring gentle rolling hills and wooded sections. Four aid stations will provide water and Nuun. Participants receive a finisher medal, shirt, post-race food, and access to hot showers. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the half marathon, 10K, and 5K. Age group awards, for those aged 14 and under up to 75 and over, are given to first-place finishers. The marathon, the newest distance, maintains the Halloween theme, with a chance of spotting the Headless Horseman along the course.
