#Be A Buddy 5K 2026

The #Be A Buddy 5K is a Saturday morning 5K held at Space Coast Field of Dreams in West Melbourne, Florida. The in-person race begins at 8:00 AM. Participants can register for the Individual 5K or a Virtual 5K Run/Walk. The event supports The Parker Foundation for Autism and Child Development, a Florida nonprofit established in 2015 that serves Brevard County and surrounding areas. The race supports the foundation’s Be a Buddy Initiative, which covers Peer Buddy and Buddy Ambassador programs, bullying prevention education, and safety initiatives connecting families with law enforcement and first responders. The foundation provides free resources for children, teens, young adults with autism spectrum disorders and special needs, and their families through its programs. Race-day amenities include a shirt option, finisher medals, post-race refreshments, and awards for age groups and teams based on speed, size, and spirit.
