The Parley Lake Wine Run 5k is a timed run and walk at Parley Lake Winery in Waconia, Minnesota, west of Minneapolis and St. Paul. It is designed for those seeking a short race with wine as the focus, distinct from a large city road race. The winery is located on Parley Lake Road, set among Waconia’s rolling hills, on the outskirts of the metro area but in a rural environment. The course winds through the winery’s rural grounds, covering 125 wooded acres, seven acres of vineyards, and 20 acres of orchards. The winery is under 10 minutes from the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and near Carver Park Reserve. Parley Lake Winery has a notable wine history, having earned 114 medals, including 30 national gold medals, making the post-race wine tasting a key attraction.
