Shark Week Showdown 5K, 10K - Galveston, TX 2026

Shark Week Showdown is an ocean-themed running event at Stewart Beach in Galveston, Texas, featuring a Kids Dash, 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K. The 5K is 3.1 miles, the 10K is 6.22 miles, and participants can also opt for a Volunteer then Run 5K or a virtual race. Bigfoot Running Company organizes the race, which is set up to be family-friendly rather than exclusively for competitive runners. Finishers in the 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K receive medals, the youngest runners get a distinct Kids Dash medal, and music plays at the finish line.
