The SoCalUltra Ultra Trail series takes place at Tejon Ranch in Lebec, California, located roughly one hour north of Los Angeles and thirty minutes from Bakersfield. Participants can select from 11k, 25k, 50k, 100k, and ultra-distance races, accommodating choices from a shorter mountain trail run to an extended day within the Tehachapi Mountains.
The entire race is contained within Tejon Ranch, California's largest private landholding, presenting a unique access situation for the event. Runners are not provided with preview runs, public heatmaps, or pre-established Fastest Known Times. As the ranch is closed to unauthorized entry before race day, the course offers an uncommon blank-slate experience. This event is organized by the team responsible for Bulldog Ultra and Pacifico Ultra, with its appeal being direct race-day access to private Tehachapi trails that are otherwise inaccessible to runners.
