Summer Sizzler- San Antonio 2026

The Summer Sizzler in San Antonio begins early at Pearsall Park. The Kids Dash starts just before the 5K, 10K, and 15K runners commence at 7:00 a.m. CDT. This yearly summer running event offers options for children, walkers, short-distance runners, and those seeking a longer morning run. It also includes an untimed 1 Mile, a volunteer-and-run option, and a virtual race for participants unable to attend in person. The main distances feature chip timing, live results, and awards. The Kids Dash and 1 Mile remain untimed and low-pressure. Children aged 10 and under have their own dash; they can participate for free if they forgo the shirt, bib, and medal. All finishers receive free photos and Kona Ice. The 5K, 10K, and 15K include age-group awards, and the virtual option includes shipping of the shirt and medal. This event is part of a San Antonio summer series that also includes the Heatwave Half Marathon and the Golden Harvest Half Marathon & 5K/10K.
