Womp Romp 2026

Womp Romp is a charity trail run held in late October at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, Massachusetts. It offers a 10-mile race and a 50K ultra. The event sells out annually, welcoming not only runners but also walkers and hikers. A complimentary 1K kids race provides a short option for families alongside the main events. The 10-mile race follows a single classic loop within the park. The 50K consists of three of these loops, with an additional mile added at the beginning. The course terrain includes pavement, rail trails, rolling trails, and rougher paths, offering more variety than a standard road race. Three aid stations are available, and 50K participants may use drop bags at the start area between loops. The race is cupless, requiring all participants to carry their own bottle or cup. A tradition of shared food and a tent setup at the start contribute to its relaxed, local atmosphere, although campfires are prohibited.
