Sobre esta prova
The Odenwälder Herbstlauf is an autumn running event in Mudau, located in Germany’s Odenwald region. Participants, both runners and walkers, begin and conclude their races at the Odenwaldhalle, situated near the Odenwaldstadion. This event, organized by TSV 1863 Mudau e.V., is the largest running competition in the region. It features multiple race distances, including 5 km, 10 km, a 10 km walk, and a half marathon, in addition to races specifically for children and younger participants.
The courses are characterized as rolling, indicating they are not simply flat routes through the town. Over 1,000 participants have competed in the 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon events, with age categories ranging from young children to masters runners in their seventies. The event supports a local charity, donating one euro for each participant to Leben und Lernen in Kenia e.V. Additionally, setting a course record results in an extra donation to the Mudau kindergarten. Cash prizes are offered for achieving new course records in the half marathon and 10 km races.
