Sobre esta prova
The MTB Marathon Pfronten begins at Leonhardsplatz in Pfronten-Heitlern, located in Bavaria’s Allgäu region. This mountain-bike marathon, typically held in June, offers three routes: a 26 km half marathon with 840 m of elevation gain, a 51 km marathon covering 1,900 m, and a 76 km extreme route exceeding 2,600 m. Even the shortest course presents a significant climb, distinguishing it from a simple flat ride with a mountain-bike designation.
The primary marathon route directs participants toward the Breitenberg. The event also features the Klapprad WM, a folding-bike world championship covering 12 km uphill with 640 m of climbing. As a component of the Bavarian Championship Marathon MTB, the race attracts competitive riders alongside local and visiting cycling enthusiasts. The vicinity of the start and finish line hosts musical performances, live commentary, MTB equipment vendors, and a communal atmosphere encouraging attendees to linger post-race.
