Open Firefighter Night Run 2026

The Open Firefighter Night Run takes place on the Travemünder Promenade. Participants can choose from 3 km, 6 km, 9 km, or 12 km distances. The event is organized in conjunction with the local firefighter community and attracts a diverse group of participants; one past event saw 412 runners participate in cold weather after sunset. The course follows the promenade, making the race straightforward: select a distance and run along the waterfront after dark. The evening program features fire bowls, music provided by Spielmannszug Kiel, assistance from the Falkenfelder Karnevalsgesellschaft, grilled items, Mutzen, soup, and bananas for both runners and event staff. Additionally, there will be face painting for children, informational booths from Paulinchen e.V., Verdi, and BF Lübeck, along with on-site medical support and sports massage.
