Sobre esta prova
The Welzheimer Triathlon begins at Aichstrutsee in Welzheim, Baden-Württemberg, sending participants into the Swabian Forest for a summer sprint-distance event. The race covers 600 meters of swimming, 23 kilometers by bike, and 7 kilometers running, with approximately 300 athletes anticipated. This event is organized by the triathlon department of Turn und Sportfreunde Welzheim e.V.
Athletes compete individually in the Jedermann and age-group categories, or as relay teams of three, with each member handling one discipline: swimming, cycling, or running. Participants in relay teams must be at least 16 years old. The Welzheimer Cup introduces a local element, allowing three-person hobby athlete teams to compete against a city team. Organizers refer to it as “The Classic in Württemberg,” and local reports indicate increasing entry numbers.
