KDD BTT Dos Callos 2027

KDD BTT Dos Callos begins at 09:30 from the Centro Cultural de Castro Barreiro, organized by the youth association Nós Somos Nós. This is a non-competitive mountain-bike meetup; riders follow the front group's pace and stop at regrouping points rather than competing for placings. Two marked routes are available: approximately 47 km with 1,500 m of elevation gain, or approximately 37 km with 1,100 m of elevation gain. The initial part follows public roads, requiring adherence to traffic rules, before transitioning to off-road terrain. Riders require sufficient fitness and bike handling ability for a medium-difficulty off-road course. The minimum age is 16, with specific authorization and supervision requirements for those under 18. Helmets are compulsory. Each participant must carry essential repair tools, including tubes and a pump. Littering is prohibited. Support includes practical provisions: food and drink at approximately km 23 and the finish line, along with showers, bike washing facilities, and a cloakroom. The local flavor is present in the entry package, featuring a serving of callos with wine, beer, bread, and dessert. A gift related to Bicos de Papel is also provided, supporting children receiving oncology treatment at Hospital Álvaro Cunqueiro.
