Sobre esta prova
The Ribble Valley 10K is a fast road race on closed rural roads around the Ribble Valley, starting from Roefield Leisure Centre in Clitheroe at 10:00 am. It is chip-timed, officially measured, and Run Britain/UKA licensed, allowing runners to record a proper 10K mark. The main race also includes the North of England 10K Championships, giving it a sharper competitive edge than a standard local road race.
The course is built for quick times, with clear PB potential and course records of 28:32 for men and 31:38 for women. It draws strong club fields and some of the UK’s best runners, but it is still open to everyday runners chasing a finish time or a finisher’s medal. Cash prizes are awarded deep into the top ten for men and women, with extra awards for teams, vet teams, juniors, vets, and a £500 bonus for a course record. There is also a summer handicap version, using staggered starts so slower runners set off first, followed by team competition, food, and prizes at the Edisford Bridge Pub.
