Sobre esta prova
The UK Ultra South Downs 100 Mile is a 100-mile trail ultra in East Sussex, run through the South Downs National Park from Plumpton Racecourse. It begins at 6am on Saturday and concludes at 4pm on Sunday, providing a 34-hour cutoff. The route is almost entirely trail, with a minor road section, and includes approximately 12,200 feet of elevation gain, making it a significant hill race as well as a distance event.
The course is a single loop returning to Plumpton Racecourse, crossing rolling South Downs terrain with open views across the national park. Runners are provided with 12 aid stations, a mandatory GPS tracker, and free onsite camping for the weekend. Entry requires evidence of at least one 50-mile race completed in the last four years, with online results accepted over a private training run. Organisers also expect participants to have trail and night-running experience. The race is part of the South Downs Triple Crown, a challenge for runners completing three ultra-distance events within the same calendar year.
