January is the coldest month, so running shifts toward practical loops, trail-race grit, and fewer hero sessions. Cyclists still have a winter marker because the CX Magyar Kupa 3rd round was held in Nyíregyháza on January 3, 2021. Winter turns the city into more cyclocross and maintenance miles than fast road form.
