Sobre esta prova
The first Lake Chuzenji Run & Walk takes place at Lake Chuzenji in Nikko National Park, Tochigi Prefecture. It is designed for beginners and experienced participants alike, offering a relaxed outdoor format instead of a strict competition. The event begins in the morning and concludes in the late afternoon, with registration and an opening ceremony preceding the start of the courses. Children in junior high school or younger may participate without charge when accompanied by an adult.
The primary walking route is a 26 km intermediate course encircling Lake Chuzenji. A shorter beginner course spans 10 km around Hangetsu-yama. The location in Oku-Nikko provides clear mountain air, lake vistas, and forested national park roads. Participants are advised to bring their own bear bells. YAMA ASOBI is the organizer, and The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko is sponsoring a special aid station featuring local Tochigi Prefecture ingredients. The hotel also provides lunch options post-event. Its anniversary amulet, in the color “Deep Water,” draws inspiration from Nikko’s water, originating from mountain snow, flowing through Lake Chuzenji, and continuing to Kegon Falls.
