Sobre esta prova
The Tokyo Kanko Rogaining will be held in Shibuya over two days in September, with the event base at Kowa Building 4F, close to Shibuya Station. This is a sightseeing rogaining race where teams navigate using a map, select which checkpoints to visit, photograph themselves at each, and accumulate points within a 3-hour or 5-hour time limit. The organizers provide instruction on the rules and fundamental map reading before the race begins, making the format accessible to newcomers.
Runners will use the same map and checkpoints on both days, allowing participants to compete once or to refine their route strategy for a second attempt. The checkpoint-hunting style transforms Shibuya into the race area, diverging from a set road course, and emphasizes strategic planning alongside running pace. Teams are formed by two or three people, and recent events in this series have taken place in other Tokyo districts such as Shinagawa and Akihabara.
