Sobre esta prova
The Night Marathon at Saitama Stadium 2002 allows runners to compete after dark within one of Japan’s primary football stadiums. It includes a unique section alongside the pitch, typically off-limits to the public. The event provides 30 km, 20 km, 10 km, and 5 km race distances. The longer races commence in the early evening, and all distances conclude by 22:00.
The course is a circuit, enabling runners to pass each other multiple times instead of proceeding along a single point-to-point path. Spectators, including family, friends, and colleagues, may enter the venue without charge. However, due to stadium renovation, the stands will be inaccessible. Automatic IC chips will manage timing, with certificates available on the same day and live results posted online. The previous running of this event reached its participant capacity.
