Family Tough Guy and Gal Challenge: Hamilton

Ngaruawahia Christian Youth Camp provides a distinctly outdoor setting, situated between the Waipa River and the Hakarimata Scenic Reserve, surrounded by native bush and pastures. The Family Tough Guy and Gal Challenge: Hamilton is an obstacle course race intended to unite families. It suggests a muddy morning where parents, caregivers, and children participate as a unified Whanau team, rather than as spectators. The course emphasizes shared determination over speed. It features "mud pits, climbing walls, and crawling tunnels," offering ample opportunities for children aged 7-12 to take the lead while an adult assists the team's progress. The event is structured around "tackling challenges that test endurance, strength, and teamwork." Teams consist of two or three family members.
