Junior Tough Guy and Gal Challenge Tauranga 2026

The Tauranga Junior Tough Guy and Gal Challenge is a winter mud and obstacle race for primary and intermediate school children, held at Bay Park in Mount Maunganui. It is part of New Zealand's largest mud run series. The event features shorter courses designed for children: 1.5km for school years 3 to 4, and 3km for years 5 to 8. The course offers children a smaller version of the adult Tough Guy and Gal setup, complete with mud and obstacles, instead of a simple running track. Event Promotions organizes the race. The day includes hot showers following the muddy sections and spot prizes, ensuring school-age participants receive a challenge while maintaining a fun event atmosphere.
