Uphill Race Śnieżka 2026

Once a year in June, cyclists have a rare opportunity to ride to the summit of Śnieżka, the highest peak in the Karkonosze range. The Uphill Race Śnieżka begins in Karpacz, within Karkonosze National Park, and ascends approximately 14 kilometers, gaining over 1,000 meters in elevation. In Poland, this is the highest point accessible by bicycle, and the road to the summit is closed to other vehicles for this event. The course departs from Karpacz's streets, continuing its climb over dirt, gravel, and cobblestones, with no flat stretches to recover. Cyclists transition from forest to high mountain scenery. The challenge involves managing heat and lactic acid alongside physical exertion. The participants range from amateurs to seasoned mountain bikers, all facing the same objective: to pedal to the top of Śnieżka.
