Stars and Strides Minneapolis 2026

Stars and Strides Minneapolis is a Fourth of July 5K and 10K held at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. The Band Shell area is the central point for the in-person races. Participants can select the 5K or 10K, walkers have a 5K choice, and families can include a short Kids Run for children aged 10 and under. The 10K consists of two circuits around Lake Harriet. The 5K run and walk also utilize the lake's perimeter instead of a linear course. The Kids Run begins near the Lake Harriet Bandshell, spans 0.40 miles, and provides young participants with a shirt and medal, excluding chip timing. Virtual 5K and 10K options allow individuals to run or walk at their convenience throughout July, with race kits mailed to U.S. addresses. The event supports the Minneapolis Parks Foundation.
