The Wild Florida 5K is a Saturday morning 5K held at Lake Baldwin Park in Orlando during January, organized by Conservation Florida. It is a timed road race, starting at 9:00 am, with packet pickup on race day and an awards ceremony following the finish.
The event supports Conservation Florida’s efforts to preserve Florida’s water, wildlife, wild places, and natural and agricultural lands. Adult participants receive a 5K medal, and shirts are included with certain race entries. Participants unable to travel to Orlando can join virtually, completing their own 5K by running, walking, hiking, biking, or paddling. This virtual option aligns with the race’s Florida themes, which include springs, manatees, monarch migrations, palmetto prairie, cypress knees, Spanish moss, ancient oaks, and the Everglades Headwaters.
