Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival
The Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival is a mountain trail-running weekend in Innsbruck, Austria, offering races from 7 km to 110 km. Typically held in early June, it provides a range of distances: a 15 km Rookie Trailrun, a 25 km trail half marathon, a 42 km trail marathon, and ultra options of 65 km, 85 km, and 110 km. Several races are UTMB Index qualifying events, attracting participants focused on mountain rankings as well as those seeking a personal challenge. The courses traverse mountain, forest, and natural terrain surrounding Innsbruck. The climbing increases significantly with distance: 373 m for the 7 km route, 1,020 m for the 25 km, 2,020 m for the marathon, and 5,380 m for the 110 km Masters of Innsbruck. The festival also features children’s and junior races, extending its appeal beyond ultra distances. A night race offers a distinct experience for those preferring a shorter run after dark, and the major ultras are named the Panorama Ultra Trail and Heart of the Alps Ultra.
