Carrera Solidaria Colegio Plurilingüe Cervantes
The Memorial Profe Alberto is a charity race held in May in Lugo, associated with Colegio Plurilingüe Cervantes. This event centers on the school, featuring races on the college grounds, including options for children, canicross, and an adult race. A 4 km non-competitive run is available, emphasizing participation alongside the competitive aspect. The youngest participants and canicross competitors begin at Plaza Agro do Rolo, while the adult race starts near Farmacia Labandeira. Following the awards ceremony, race bibs are used for a raffle of sponsor prizes. Those unable to attend may purchase a solidarity bib, with proceeds supporting Zebraglio glioblastoma research in veterinary medicine and at HULA. The memorial aspect is honored as students and colleagues share messages for Alberto, recalling him as a cherished teacher whose kindness and spirit left a lasting impression.
