Triman

Triman is a Greek triathlon race series with several formats held in May, August, and September. The primary Triman race follows a half-distance format: a 1,900m swim, 90km bike ride, and 21.1km run. Shorter events include Trifast, featuring a 750m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run, and the Super Sprint Battle, which is a 200m swim, 5km bike, and 2km run. The series also offers races for single-discipline athletes or those seeking a more challenging event. Triswim provides 1,000m, 2,500m, and 5,000m swim distances. Nightswim offers 2,000m and 4,000m swim options. Nightrun is a 5,000m run, and the ultimate triathlon challenge is Triman226: a 3,800m swim, 180km bike ride, and a full marathon. The Olympos-X races combine long swim and bike legs with trail running; the main Olympos-X includes a 4,000m swim, 191km bike, and 40km trail run. Beh: Katerini je na Pierijskej rovine, len 14 m nad morom, takže tu si vieš dať v pohode základné kilometre, kým sa cesta nezačne dvíhať smerom na Mount Olympus. Keď chceš rovinu a dobrý rytmus pri Thermaikos Gulf, tak sa behá Olympic Beach, Paralia a Olympiaki Akti. Tu to celé drží pohromade klub APS Pieria Dromeon Zeus, inak aj ΑΠΣ Δρομέων Πιερίας "ΖΕΥΣ". Katerini Run im dáva super ciele na 21 km a 5 km. Nohy na ceste si vieš udržať ostré vďaka 9th Road Race "The Passage of Apostle Paul" a 9th Solidarity Race of the Holy Church of Agios Charalambos Katerinis. Táto trasa má 77 km a nastúpaš +3,374 m, takže to nikto neberie ako nejaké ľahké preklusanie.

Cyklistika: Cyklisti z Katerini začínajú na rovine a keď chcú ozajstné kopce pri Mount Olympus, tak sa otočia na západ. Okolo mesta máš na výber z 36 cyklotrás. V lete je tu teplo až horúco a sucho, takže bežci si dávajú intervaly skoro ráno a cyklisti si základné kilometre na otvorenom nechávajú na chladnejšie hodiny. Olympic Beach a Olympiaki Akti sú stále super na rovinaté tréningy, keď sa ti hora zdá príliš ostrá. V zime sa ochladí a je tu vlhkejšie, takže si musíš viac vyberať. Mount Olympus síce stále udáva tón, ale rovina sa stáva stabilnou voľbou na Z2. Blízke lyžiarske stredisko Elatochori signalizuje zimný prechod a Olympus National Woodland Park udržuje horskú stranu v hre.
