The Ikoma Trail Run <Summer Mountain> is a summer trail race held in Katano, Osaka Prefecture. It takes place at Wanpaku Hiroba in Hoshida Park. Participants can select either a 27 km or a 22 km race. The 27 km race has a time limit of 8 hours, while the 22 km race must be completed within 6 hours. This event is designed to be accessible for trail running newcomers, yet offers sufficient distance for seasoned runners to challenge themselves.
The race venue is approximately a 30-minute walk from Kisaichi Station. The organizer advises participants to use public transportation as parking is unavailable. The 27 km course features checkpoints. Both races commence in the morning, starting a few minutes apart. Baggage can be checked and will be delivered to the finish line. Sports injury insurance is provided. Race results are published using bib numbers, not by personal names. This race is part of the Ikoma Trail Run series and is organized by the NPO Japan Trail Runner Circuit Association.
