Light blue flags indicate the meeting point for the Yodogawa Night Relay Marathon at the Nishinakajima Area Baseball Field in Yodogawa River Park, Osaka. This is an afternoon-to-evening relay event featuring 10 km and 20 km team races, alongside a short Family Run. The 10 km relay accommodates teams of 2 to 5 runners, and the 20 km relay is for teams of 2 to 10. Both races permit participants from elementary school age upwards. Each relay has a 2 hour 30 minute time limit, making the format suitable for casual teams and faster club runners alike.
The race centers on passing a tasuki sash among friends, family, or coworkers, rather than an individual effort from start to finish. The Family Run pairs one child of elementary school age or younger with one runner of high school age or older, with a 30 minute time limit. All finishers receive completion certificates, providing each team a straightforward record of their collective effort. Sports One Inc. organizes the event, which is open to all levels, from beginners to advanced runners.
