Tsuruga Twin Peaks is a late-summer trail running race in Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture, offering 13 km and 33 km distances. The 33 km course connects Mt. Nosaka, a 913 m peak known as Tsuruga Fuji, with 765 m Mt. Iwago. It includes approximately 2,800 m of total elevation gain over 33 km. The race begins at the Wakasa Bay Energy Research Center and takes place on trails.
The 33 km route is described as the most challenging and highest-elevation race in Fukui’s Reinan region, with its name reflecting the two distinct mountains runners ascend. The 13 km course provides an option for less experienced trail runners, while the 33 km distance is suited for those seeking a demanding mountain run. The event has a participant limit of roughly 100 to 499 runners, organized by SATOYAMA WORKS / OIEna.
