This fall trail event offers a 10K covering approximately 6.4 miles with 1,500 feet of elevation gain, and a half marathon of about 13.6 miles with 2,900 feet of gain. The courses combine technical remote singletrack, accessible doubletrack, steep ascents, rocky climbs, stream crossings, and scenic overlooks. The race incorporates Edgar Allan Poe themes, featuring Raven-themed finisher awards. The post-race gathering serves ham and bean soup (with a vegetarian option) prepared in a kettle, alongside opportunities to share trail experiences or recite poetry. It is primarily intended for experienced trail runners, though well-prepared hikers are welcome if they show respect for the environment.
