O tomto preteku
The Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee, or BRAT, is a cycling series covering 688 miles from Bristol in the east to Memphis in the west. Its virtual edition takes place throughout September, with participants logging miles via LOVE TO RIDE as members of the BRAT Cycling Club. The format accommodates various cycling types, including road, indoor, gravel, and mountain biking; residency in Tennessee is not required. A collective club objective is to reach 31,000 miles, continuing the ride's established annual tradition.
The route concept follows the path across Tennessee, but participants may utilize established Ride with GPS routes from previous BRAT rides within Tennessee State Parks. Some cyclists incorporate these park routes into longer trips, utilizing state park accommodations, activities, and guided offerings in conjunction with their rides. Participants are provided with a BRAT jersey and T-shirt, with opportunities to win prizes during September. Proceeds from the event benefit nonprofit initiatives, such as the development and preservation of the 300-mile Cumberland Trail and scholarships and training facilitated by the Tennessee Park Rangers Association.
