The first MapleWeird Community 5K and Fun Run will take place on October 25, 2026. The event includes a 5K race and a 0.5-mile Fun Run. Costumes are encouraged for all participants. The 5K is a timed, looped course through Maplewood, featuring parks, local businesses, and some hills. The Fun Run is untimed and suitable for families. Both races begin and conclude at Schlafly Bottleworks. After the races, live music and a Trunk-or-Treat event will be held as part of Schlafly's monthly Sundaze fair.
