The Typhoonloop begins and ends on the AV Typhoon track in Gorinchem, a historic fortified city in the Netherlands. This annual running event, organized by Atletiekvereniging Typhoon, includes children's races of 400 and 1600 meters, and adult distances of 6 km and 10 km. The participant limit is 850 runners; late registration is unavailable.
The youth races commence on the track, followed by the 6 km and 10 km races that traverse Gorinchem and its surroundings. The event attracts participants ranging from novices and seasoned runners to local club athletes and individuals from distant areas. One past edition saw almost 750 finishers across all categories. The 35th edition proceeded despite wet, windy conditions, with facilities such as changing rooms, toilets, refreshments, and medical support ensuring practicality.
