LE-LAUFEVENT (Österr. Volkslaufcup, Steira Straßenlaufcup)

LE-LAUFEVENT takes place in the city center of Leoben, Styria, on Hauptplatz and nearby streets. The main race is distinctive: participants have 66 minutes to complete as many laps as possible on a 2 km circuit. This 66-minute run contributes to the Austrian Volkslaufcup overall standings. The event also features children's races, a 3 km Nordic Walking race, and a three-person relay, catering to families, walkers, club runners, and those aiming for cup points. The course remains near Leoben's main square and Innenstadt, avoiding routes far from the town center. PSV Leoben is the organizer, with Christian Maurer serving as race director. The day begins with an opening ceremony and children's races, followed by Nordic Walking. The 66-minute race and the relay are scheduled for the afternoon. Following the main awards, a lottery and pasta party are held. The children's races have a separate prize ceremony and Pommesparty.
