Antwerp's running is flat and fast—the Urban Trail Antwerpen loops through the city's historic centre and along the Scheldt riverbank, offering no elevation relief but quick times on tarmac and packed earth. Cyclists dominate here: the BK Gravel and Dwars door het Hageland start nearby and push into the Flemish countryside's rolling farmland and forests, where gentle 40–80m climbs break up the otherwise pancake-flat terrain around the city itself.
