Tomoritzlauf Wolfsburg is an October charity run beside the Allersee in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony. Runners and walkers have an eight-hour window, from morning to early evening, to cover as many roughly 3-kilometer laps as they want. The format is deliberately loose: you can run, walk, stop at the base camp, refuel, rest, and start again. It is more about collecting laps than racing for speed, and participation is capped at 250 people.
The course is a flat, counter-clockwise loop around the lake, with the start and finish at the base camp by the water. Each kilometer helps raise money for social projects, with proceeds supporting DKMS and environmental protection, and participants who reach 60 kilometers trigger a doubled donation amount. DJs, fog machines, and light effects give the day a festival feel, so the event suits people testing their endurance as much as people showing up for an unusual charity day in running shoes.
