Fredensborgløbet is a small, family-friendly run and walk in southern Rønne on Bornholm, held on the second day of Pentecost. The start and finish are by Hotel Fredensborg and Galløkken, offering a 2.5 km children's race, a 2.5 km fun run or walk, and a 5 km run or walk. It is designed for children, adults, walkers, club runners, and families to share the same morning, not exclusively for fast runners. Approximately 200 runners participate, and chip timing provides participants with net times.
The routes are mostly flat, firm, and on asphalt, passing through the area around Fredensborg and extending toward Onsbæk Blokhus; the 2.5 km route follows this path out and back. The children's race is divided into age classes, with awards for the top girl and boy in each class, and the fastest 5 km runners also receive prizes. Participants get water and fruit, there are raffle prizes, free downloadable race photos, and a bib displaying the race name. Fredensborgløbet has roots dating back to the 1930s, and the 5 km course record is held by Danish world-class marathoner Henrik Jørgensen with a time of 14:27.
