Fyns 5-dages, or Funen 5-days, is a five-stage orienteering series held around Odense on Funen in Denmark. The first stage takes place at Dalumgård in Odense S, with all courses starting at 17:30. It is designed for summer-evening racing, not a single long event, and Odense Orienteringsklub welcomes anyone interested in trying orienteering. The stages utilize Odense’s nearby forests, green spaces, and some city sprint terrain. Later rounds are scheduled for Højby, Holluf Pile, Kohaveskoven, and Elkkeskoven. Course lengths vary from a 2.5 km beginner route to a 6.7 km A-Lang, with intermediate options at easy, medium, and difficult levels. Beginner and C courses follow paths, while B and A courses venture into the terrain, making forest running attire and cross-country shoes practical. Participants may run together, aligning with the event’s blend of competition and social interaction within the sport.
