The Carrera Popular de Villoruela is an 8.2 km running race held in the evening in Villoruela, a village in the province of Salamanca. The course begins and ends at the local football field on Calle Las Heras. The event takes place from early evening through the night. Registration fees are minimal, ranging from free to a few euros, giving it the character of a local community event rather than a large commercial one.
The race is organized by Club Deportivo Atletismo Las Mimbreras, with assistance from the Villoruela town council and the Diputación de Salamanca. Over 300 runners have participated in recent years, with past winners including Diego Bravo García and Gema Martín Borgas. This event marks its seventeenth edition. Race information also indicates it is non-competitive, positioning it as a blend between a village festival run and a formally timed local road race.
