Cross la Pedriza is a 16.1 km mountain race in Manzanares el Real, situated on the edge of La Pedriza within Sierra de Guadarrama National Park. The Club de Montaña La Pedriza del Manzanares has organized this event since 2001. It begins and concludes in the Plaza del Pueblo, offering runners a combination of the village atmosphere and a challenging mountain course. The race profile is concentrated yet demanding, featuring approximately 800 meters of elevation gain over 12 km of mountain trails and 4 km of urban running.
The route departs the town via Avenida de La Pedriza, ascending through the Garganta de Las Camorzas towards Canto Cochino. It then proceeds along La Pedriza's Gran Vía, heading for Collado de La Dehesilla. The course passes Refugio Giner and Canto del Tolmo before reaching the Pradera del Yelmo, a significant elevation point. From this location, the route descends steeply via the Senda de La Rinconada, also known as Maeso, returning towards the village. This is a local mountain club race with a distinct character: a village start, granite mountain paths, a substantial climb, and a rapid descent back to Manzanares el Real.
