The Valladolid Half Marathon is a road race held in late September in Valladolid, the capital of Spain's Castilla y León region. Participants run the standard 21.0975 km distance on a city course. The race is organized by Club Deportivo Atletas Populares de Valladolid and approved by the Castilla y León athletics federation. This event is approaching its 37th edition and anticipates over 2,000 participants, positioning it as a significant regional half marathon.
The course is a single-loop urban circuit through the city center, beginning on Calle Miguel Íscar and concluding on Paseo Acera de Recoletos, a major avenue in Valladolid. The route passes by city landmarks, with aid stations and kilometer markers displayed on panels. Seven pacers are available to assist runners aiming for finish times of 1:25, 1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, and 2:00. The time limit for completion is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each category, and all registered runners receive a race bag containing a commemorative technical T-shirt.
