The KOMIA Trail Cup is a weekday-evening trail running series held in the forests near Seinäjoki, Finland. Routes are marked and measure about 5 to 7 km, with starts at 6:00 PM. It is designed for those seeking a manageable trail run after work. Some participants compete for points, while others use it for fitness training, as preparation for longer trail events, or simply for an evening run on forest paths.
Each event requires separate registration, offering cheaper advance entry and on-site registration. At the first event, runners can register for the entire series. The series employs a points system across events: 12 points for a win, 9 for second, 7 for third, with decreasing scores down to 1 point for ninth place and beyond. Awards are given to the top three men and women at the series' conclusion. The participants are intentionally varied, with beginners and experienced trail runners sharing the same short forest courses. Past participants have noted the blend of a relaxed atmosphere and a genuine challenge.
