Below Solymári Vár, the second SzalamandRUN takes place on the edge of the Buda hills, offering a genuine trail-running character instead of a road-race polish. This is a "trail-style event" centered on routes close to nature, catering to mixed age groups from children to those over 70. It provides options suitable for casual family runners and individuals seeking a moderate or challenging effort. Underfoot conditions include forest dirt roads interspersed with asphalt sections, marked by painted arrows, ribbons, and signs. Participants on longer courses must carry a phone and water, indicating a focus on self-sufficient trail practices rather than the ease of city routes. The start and finish are located at the race center below the castle. All finishers receive a medal.
