KronplatzKing begins in St Vigil, a South Tyrol village at 1,205 meters, and takes mountain bikers to a summit finish on Kronplatz at 2,275 meters. Participants select from two challenging off-road routes: the King Marathon covers 64 km with 3,150 meters of elevation gain, and the Prince Classic spans 49 km with 2,130 meters of elevation gain. The event limits participation to 800 bikers, making it a focused mountain marathon rather than an unrestricted group ride.
The route combines extended ascents with 8 km of freeride descents and 9 km of single track, passing through Fanes-Sennes-Prags National Park in the Dolomites. The finish atop Kronplatz offers participants a broad Dolomite vista following the last climb. Event organizers also manage on-site logistics: luggage transport from start to finish is complimentary, and each participant, along with one guest, receives a day pass for the Kronplatz cable cars.
