Re Stelvio Mapei

The Stelvio Mapei race takes participants up the Stelvio Pass road from Bormio to the summit, centering the entire event on a single, extended Alpine ascent. Held in July, it features a 21.097 km half marathon and a competitive cycling race for registered athletes. Additionally, there is an open road run, the Mapei Memorial Aldo Sassi cycling ride, and a non-competitive e-bike tour. Over 3,000 individuals participate across the various formats, including professionals and amateurs. The course ascends 1,533 meters to reach Cima Coppi at 2,758 meters, with the pass road closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the event. The series has a history spanning over thirty years, with Mapei's involvement exceeding twenty editions. The e-bike ride embodies the principle behind its slogan: more Stelvio for everyone.
