This Zensoha “Complete Run-Through” event follows the Nippori-Toneri Liner, the 9.7-kilometer automated transit line linking Arakawa and Adachi wards in northern Tokyo. It is a group run of about 15 kilometers, starting from Nippori Station and paced at roughly 7:30 to 8:00 per kilometer, with walking included at traffic lights and crowded spots.
The route stays near the rail line, then goes through Toneri Park and around Minumadai Shinsui Park before continuing to Nishi-Arai Daishi. It is less about racing hard than covering the whole line on foot: quiet residential streets, old-style shopping streets, and unusually green pockets of Tokyo are part of the appeal. Convenience store stops are included, and the finish includes a small temple-side extra, since Nishi-Arai Daishi is associated with protection from bad luck and good fortune.
