Rondje Troapel

Rondje Troapel is a 4-mile run and walk in Ter Apel, starting and finishing at Camping Moekesgat. The main route is almost 6.5 km, with separate start times for runners and walkers. Walkers cover the same distance rather than a shortened version. It is a Sunday afternoon event for children and adults, featuring a shorter 2.2 km kids' route and free registration for primary school students. The first edition drew 600 participants, indicating significant local interest from the start. Stichting Ter Apel Beweegt organizes the race with partners including the Municipality of Westerwolde, the COA, HvdSG, Tryfysio, and Camping Moekesgat. Finishers receive a medal. Companies can enter teams of at least six in the Zoakelek Loopje. The organizers focus energy at the start and finish, as well as along the route.
